Today, on Tuesday the 18th, we got the heads up that the Central Saint Martins BA Graphic Design Show was not to be missed, so naturally, we jumped on the scooter and buzzed across town to check it out for ourselves. Having witnessed the car-crash that was the RCA Degree Show, we set our expectations fairly low (you’ll notice, by the way that we haven’t made a post of the RCA show  – there’s a damn good reason why, but we’ll leave that for you to answer for yourselves). To compare the two would be like comparing apples & oranges.

That said, we were pleasantly surprised as we walked through the front door at Nicholls & Clark building on Shoreditch High Street, with the quality of the work being immediately obvious. This year’s students should be extremely proud of themselves, and all the hard work they have put in; as in any graduate show, there are a few howlers, but generally speaking, it’s a show not to be missed. If you can get down before the 20th June then please do – it’s well worth a look round, and also an unmissable chance to see the talent of the future.

Students to look out for include:

  • Jonnie Chambers
  • Ghazaal Vojdani
  • Houman Momtazian
  • Alex Prior
  • Jamie Hearn
  • Brendan Olley

Below are the pictures we took of the work (some of which are pretty horrific, for which we apologise, but at least you can’t say we didn’t warn you). Apologies also to the students we have not named as we didn’t pick up your cards; if you could email in, we’d be more than happy to update this post with your details.

!!! Show ends on Monday 21st !!!
