Let’s face it; it’s tough trying to stick to a New Year’s resolution. We all have good intentions, but life somehow (and often a sweet tooth) always seems to get in the way. If you’ve already fallen off the no-alcohol-January bandwagon, or let the gym lapse after only the third week, then you need to check out a new photography exhibition at Nike’s 1948 shop in Shoreditch, for a little inspiration (and motivation). Created as part of their #makeitcount campaign, which launched on New Year’s Eve, it features black and white portraits (photographed by Adam Hinton) of top athletes with their 2012 goal written beside them. Paula Radcliffe’s is simply ‘nearly isn’t enough’, whereas cyclist Mark Cavendish is a little more to the point: ‘remain the fastest, become the greatest.’ Not only can you peruse these golden goals, but you can also create your own #makeitcount pledge. In the words of Nike: just do it.

The exhibition is on until 22nd February. For more information [click here]
