Shoe brand with a soul, TOMS teamed with Dazed Digital last summer to launch their ‘Generation Change’ film project to find a UK director with a ‘vision for change’, offering the winner five grand to create their film. Six months later and the winner, Carlos Carneiro has finished his film called ‘Killing Waves’ – a documentary that reveals the story of charity, Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) who take on the big guns to help protect the UK’s beaches and waves from sewage. Since it was founded back in 1990, the charity has persuaded water companies to invest £5 billion in sewage infrastructures. The film follows three surfers committed to the cause in Cornwall. Pretty inspiring stuff that makes for a really interesting and worthy three minute doc. Check out the film below:
