Max Bergius
Founder of Art Wednesday, AWE Magazine and co-founder of ‘Nice To Meet You’

Max moved down to London from Scotland and went straight into Formula 1. No, not as a driver, but as press officer for Honda & Michelin teams. From there he zoomed through many a small and established business (Working with Nike, Unilever, Nestle, FirstDirect, Mindshare… to name but a few) to become an esteemed PR, Marketing and Media professional. Then, he jacked it all in to start Art Wednesday! Saying goodbye to The Man, and bringing his accrued knowledge and media know-how (brand & social media strategies, creative media solutions, media sponsorship, ad funded content and product placement across all platforms) with him, Max set about building the dream. Some say it was a move based on advice from his pugs. This is as-yet unconfirmed.

Marissa Cox
Online Editor

When Marissa isn’t smuggling cultural anecdotes between Europe’s key cities, she can be found at the helm of Art Wednesday’s online team, steering the ship through the turbulent tides of the arts towards enlightenment and discovery. Before she donned the cap’n hat, Marissa wrote for Stylist, ES Magazine, Time Out, Twin, The White Review, Tank and The Huffington Post, amongst others, and has written copy for Net-A-Porter and Links of London. She is also an experienced publicist, having managed campaigns for major publishing houses Hodder & Stoughton and Random House.

Jim Pilling
Online Music Editor

Jim landed in London off the back of a 7 month trip around the world and promptly forced his scribbles and tales of faraway lands upon anyone who would give him the time of day. Quickly reverting to the more immediate culture as a source for his musings, Jim set about writing about music, culture and the arts. He now looks after all things musical at Art Wednesday and is building his oeuvre as a freelance journalist and copywriter, contributing to titles including Noisey (Music by Vice), Clash and BEAT Magazine, and writing copy for a growing list of clients. Wink wink, nudge nudge, oh… HELLO!
